The adult moth has buff coloured forewings speckled with dark grey or brown, with a complex pattern including an indistinct pale kidney shaped mark near the centre of each forewing. The hindwings are uniformly grey-brown with dark veins. The moth has a wingspan of about 3 cms.

The undersides of the forewings are dark grey, fading towards the hind margins. The undersides of the hindwings are plain pale grey.

The species occurs in

  • Borneo,

    and also in Australia in

  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
