The caterpillars of this species have been found on:

  • Gum Trees ( Eucalyptus, MYRTACEAE ), and
  • Kikuyu Grass ( Pennisetum clandestinum, POACEAE ).

    The forewings of the adult moth each have a pattern of light and dark brown, including a pale subcostal streak, and pale chevron and a pale spot near the middle.

    The hind wings are pale brown, with an indistinct dark band at the margins, with dark veins. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

    The species has been found in Australia in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
