The adult moths of this species are brown with dark veins. The thorax is covered in long orangey-brown scales. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species occurs over much of Australia, including

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
