The adult moth of this species has brown forewings each with variable dark markings including a vague outlined crescent containing a vague dark 'L' shape which contains a pale spot. The hindwings are pale brown. The wingspan is about 3.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
