The adult moth of this species has variable brown forewings each with a pale marginal area bounded by a dark wavy serrated submarginal line, and other variable dark marks, including an irregular dark spot in the middle. The hindwings are off-white shading to pale brown at the wing-tips. The wingspan is about 3 cms.
