Sometimes this is listed as a sub-family of ARCTIINAE, but here, following the more recent Molecular phylogenetics of Erebidae (Lepidoptera, Noctuoidea) we list it as a subfamily of EREBIDAE. The 9 named Australian species in AGANAINAE are:

Agape chloropyga

Asota australis
Asota caricae
Asota heliconia
Asota iodamia
Asota orbona
Asota plagiata

Digama marmorea : Six-spotted Moth

Neochera dominia
