The forewings of this adult moth are dark brown, each crossed by two narrow irregular white bands. The hindwings are off-white shading to pale brown at the margins. The wing margins are all slightly scalloped. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species occurs as several subspecies across south-east Asia, including :

  • Borneo,
  • Cambodia,
  • India,
  • New Guinea,
  • Singapore,
  • Sumatra,

    as well as Australia in

  • Queensland.
