The forewings of the adult moth each have a complex brown pattern, including a pale circle with a dark central spot near the middle, sometimes incomplete so forming the letter 'C'. The hindwings are pale grey-brown with dark margins and a faint vague dark submarginal band. The wingspan is about 4 cms.
