The adult moth of this species is basically brown, with two white spots outlined in dark brown on each forewing, and one or two on each hindwing. The spots are visible on the undersides. The first few segments of the abdomen are orange. The wingspan of the male is about 5 cms.

The female is larger, with more rounded wings, and with a fatter abdomen.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • South Australia, and
  • Western Australia.
