The moths of this species have white forewings each with a broad dark irregular band across the middle, and another along the margin, both of which have expanded middles which touch each other, like an irregular letter 'H'. The hindwings are plain brown. The head is white, and the thorax is black. The wingspan is up to 2 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in :

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
