The adult moth of this species has a pattern of light and dark reddish brown patches, and white lines on the forewings, each with a broad pale margin, and a purple sheen. The forewing margins are doubly recurved, and also have a concave bend in the costa. The hindwings have a similar pattern to that on the forewings, but fading to white on the hindmargins. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.
