The adult moth has pale brown forewings each with two darker submarginal brown lines containing a triangular pink area. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The natural posture is unusual: the moth likes to rest head downward.

The species is found across south-east Asia, including:

  • China,
  • India,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland.
