The adult moths of this species are purplish brown, with various dark lines criss-crossing the wings. The outer and hind margins of the forewings both have a doubly recurved wave shape. The hindwings are pale brown shading darker at the margins. The wingspan is about 5 cms.

The species has been found across south-east Asia, including in

  • Sri Lanka,
  • Taiwan,

    and in Australia in

  • Queensland.
