The adult moths of this species have brown forewings, each with a pattern of dark markings, including several dark areas along the costa, and several dark transverse zigzag lines. The hindwings are brown with similar but vaguer markings like those on the forewings. The wings have slightly scalloped margins. The wingspan is about 4 cms.
