The adult moth of this species is speckled brown. The forewings each have several narrow bands of elevated patches of very dark scales. The hindwings are off-white, darkening toward the wing-tips. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
