The adult moth of this species has fawn forewings, each with a complex pattern including several dark marks near the middle and along the margin. The hindwings are white. The moth has a wingspan of about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in the southern half of Australia, including:

  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
