Synemon notha Westwood, 1877 Bastard Sun Moth CASTNIIDAE,   SESIOIDEA

The adult moth of this species has pale grey-brown forewings each with substantial dark brown markings. The hindwings are dark brown each with two scarlet patches, and a submarginal arc of scarlet spots. The wingspan is about 3 cms.
