The adult moth has dark brown forewings, sometimes with a blue patch. The females have two gold spots between dark streaks on each forewing, but in the males the gold spots are just pale brown. The hindwings are white with a dark brown margin.

The species is a minor pest, as the moths pierce fruit to suck the juice.

The species has been found in

  • Indonesia,
    and in Australia in:
  • Queensland.
