The adult moth of this species is brown. The forewings have a complex pattern. The hindwings are dark brown at the margins, fading to pale brown at the bases. The head has a high crest, and the legs are very furry. It has a wing span of about 3 cms.

The species has been found in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
