The adult moths of this species have a complex pattern of orange, black, and brown on the forewings. The hindwings are brown with pale submarginal bands, fading to pale brown at the base. The wingspan is about 3 cms.

The moths have been found in:

  • Queensland,
  • Australian Capital Territory, and
  • South Australia.
