The adult moth of this species has a patterned dark brown outer half to each wing, with a pale spot near the apex of each forewing, and a pale brown inner half, with dark spots near the costa of each forewing. The thorax sometimes has a shield of black hairs just behind the head.

The species has been found in Queensland.
