The adult moth of this species has brown forewings, each with complex black and off-white markings, including an irregular black transverse arc about three quarters the way along the wing. The hindwings are brown. The head and thorax are brown with white scales along the sides. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
