The adult moths of this species have pale brown forewings each with three broad wiggly dark brown transverse bands, and a grey streak along the costa. The hindwings are plain fawn, fading to off-white at the bases.

The moths normally rest flat, with the forewings covering the hindwings. The wingspan is about 3 cms.
