The adult moths of this species have brown wings. The forewings each have a broad pale margin partly outlined in white. The hindwings each have an outlined dark band near the base. In its natural posture, the hindwing bands connect to similar markings on the hind margins of the forewings. The wingspan is abut 4.5 cms.

The species is found in:

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
