Limnaecia chionospila

The adult moths have black forewings which are each crossed by three off-white bands. The hindwings are pale brown. The head is pale yellow, and the thorax black. The antennae are black, each with off-white tips and an off-white section in the middle. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in :

  • New South Wales, and
  • Australian Capital Territory.
