Macrobathra melanomitra

The adult moths have black forewings each with two white bands, one at the base and one anterior to the middle, and two nearly triangular spots on the costa and one or two on the hind margin. The eadge of the costa has some yellow hairs. The hindwings are dark brown. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species occurs in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • South Australia.
