The adult moth of this species has grey-brown forewings, each with dark speckles, a vague bulging pale band across the middle, three dark marks on the costa, and a set of dark dashes along the very curved margin. The hindwings are pale grey-brown.The antennae are each as long as a forewing. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
