The adult moth of this species has yellow forewings with a jagged black bar across the middle and at the base of each one. The hindwings are plain grey. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species has been found in:

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
