The Caterpillars of this species have been found on

  • Willow Bottlebrush ( Melaleuca salicina, MYRTACEAE ).

    The male adult moths have forewings that are blotchy brown with ragged white bands across them, and with chequered margins. The hindwings are nearly plain grey, with dark margins.

    The females are similar to the males but also have an extra scattering of white markings on the forewings. The moths have a wingspan of about 3.5 cms.

    The species is found in Australia in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Victoria.
