These adult moths have dark grey forewings crossed by brown broken serrated lines. The hindwings are paler with a similar but muted pattern. A wavy pale line runs around all the margins, accompanied by a submarginal arc of dark spots. The forewing costas are slightly concave. The wing margins are scalloped. The wingspan is up to 4 cms.
