This Caterpillar is brown with two red knobs on its tail, and has a black head with white markings. The caterpillar has reduced prolegs, so walks in looper style. It has been found feeding on
The caterpillar pupates between leaves of its foodplant joined with silk.
This adult moth has forewings that have a pattern including brown sections delineated by zigzag black lines. The hindwings are black, each with an hind unbroken white band and a white spot on the margin and another white spot near the tornus. The wingspan can reach 7 cms.
