The adult moth of this species has reddish brown forewings with a purple tinge, with variable irregular dark markings, and a dark submarginal line. The hindwings are brown shading to yellowish at the bases. The wingspan is about 4 cms.

The species has been found across south-east Asia, including :

  • Sri Lanka,

    as well as Australia in

  • Queensland.
