The caterpillars of this species feed on various species of Scale Insect ( COCCOIDEA ) such as :
  • Gumtree Scale ( Eriococcus coriaceus ) (on Gums),
  • Wax Scale ( Ceroplastes species ) (on Figs), and
  • Wattle Tick Scale ( Cryptes baccatus ) (on Wattles).
