The only Caterpillar reported to need to drink frequently is that of the Hercules Moth. However we have found that other Caterpillars that we have kept seemed to benefit from being given wet leaves rather than dry ones.

But if a caterpillar is kept too wet, it becomes susceptible to fatal infection by fungus. If it is kept too dry, it can die from dehydration. Looking after a caterpillar requires balanced care.
