The adult moths of this species have pale grey forewings each with dark streaks and two ragged tufted black and yellow patches. The hindwings are a shiny pale brown. The wingspan is about 1.2 cm.

The species has been found in Australia in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Tasmania, and
  • Western Australia.
