The adult moths of this species are basically green but dimorphic. The males have greyish-brown blotchy markings on each wing.
The females have are a yellower green, and have orange and brown blotchy markings. Both sexes have a dark reddish spot near the base of a short tail on each hindwing. The wingspan is about 4 cms.
