The adult moths of this species have forewings that are black, each with two large pale yellow elongated spots, and a number of white partial stripes on the costa near the wingtip. The hindwings are plain brown. The moths have a wingspan of about 0.6 cms.

The species is found in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
