The adult moths of this species have forewings that are black. each with two white bands and a complicated pattern in the marginal half. The hindwings are plain brown. The moths have a wingspan of about 1 cm.

The species has been found in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • South Australia.
