The adult moths of this species have brown forewings with four variable irregular or broken brown-speckled white bars across each one. The hindwings are pale brown and very narrow, with an extensive plume of hairs along the hind margin. The wingspan is about 7 mms.

The species has been found in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory, and
  • Victoria.
