The caterpillars of this species are thought to feed on the roots of

  • She Oaks (Allocasuarina species. CASUARINACEAE).

    The male moths have black forewings, each with a prominent white sinuous stripe. The hindwings are grey, shading white at the bases.

    The females also have translucent black or dark grey forewings, each with white markings that are more complex than those of the males. The hindwings are grey, shading pale yellow at the bases. The males have a wingspan of about 7 cms. The females have a wingspan of abou 10 cms.

    The species is found on Kangaroo Island in
