The adult moth of this species has dark brown forewings that each have a broad yellow band across the middle. The hindwings are plain dark brown. The thorax is brown. The moth has a wingspan of about 1 cm.

The species has been found in :

  • Northern Territory,
  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales, and
  • Australian Capital Territory.
