This Caterpillar is green and lives in a slight web on new shoots of :

  • Tea Trees ( Leptospermum, MYRTACEAE ).

    When ready to pupate, it attaches itself to a leaf by a cremaster. The pupa when formed sticks out from the leaf, unprotected by a cocoon.

    The adult moth has satin white wings, with two brown diagonal stripes and a brown border around each fore wing. The moth has a wingspan of about 2 cms.

    The species is found in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • South Australia, and
  • Tasmania.
