The adult moth has grey-brown forewings, each with complex markings including a vague irregular bulging dark transverse bar. The hindwings are pale grey-brown, shading to darker at the margins. Although with rounded corners, the hindwings have four sides. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species occurs in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory, and
  • Victoria.
