The adult moth has grey or brown patterned forewings each with an interior irregular dark area. The hindwings are plain brown. The wingspan is about 2 cms.

The species is found across the south Pacific, including

  • Cook Islands,
  • Japan,
  • Java,
  • Taiwan,

    and also in Australia in

  • Queensland, and
  • New South Wales.
