The adult moth of this species is grey with variable patterns, typically including a dark bar near the base of each forewing. The wing margins are scalloped. The forewings are about 50% larger in area than the hindwings. The moth has a wingspan of about 2 cms.

This species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • South Australia.
