The adult moths of this species have brown forewings each with a bold pattern including a crooked transverse white-edged dark band. The hindwings are fawn coloured. The moths have a wing span of about 2 cms.

The moths are inclined to rest pointing head down.

The species is found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
