The adult moth of this species has brown wings. The forewings each crossed by a broad dark 'Y' shaped band. The hindwings have subdued markings. The wingspan is about 2.5 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
