The adult moth of this species is brown with vague dark broken bands and lines across each forewing. The hindwings are like the forewings only each has a large yellowish patch beside the costa. The moth has a wingspan of about 2.5 cms.

This species has been found in

  • New South Wales,
  • Victoria, and
  • Tasmania.
