The adult moth of this species is brown with light and dark bands across the wings. The moths have a wing span of about 2 cms.

The species has been found in

  • New Zealand,

    as well as in Australia in

  • Queensland,
  • New South Wales,
  • Australian Capital Territory,
  • Victoria,
  • Tasmania, and
  • South Australia.
