The adult moths of this species have dark brown forewings, each with three irregular broad pale brown bands. The hindwings are plain yellow. The moths have a wingspan of about 1 cm. The antennae extend to about 2 cms. The legs extend to about 3 cms.

The species has been found in

  • Dominican Republic, and
  • Sicily,

    as well as in

  • Australia.
